



Bhubaneswar, March 12(Ishan times).
The Hindu Ekata Manch (HEM) celebrated its 1st Annual Day with great enthusiasm at Jaydev bhavan,Bhubaneswar on Thursday. The programme began with a devotional Kirtan performed by a women’s group, creating a spiritual atmosphere. The event also featured a ceremonial lamp-lighting, prize distribution and inspiring speeches by dignitaries, promoting the message of Hindu unity.
State Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister Sri Rabi Narayan Nayak inaugurated the ceremony as the chief guest in the presence of Swami Brahmananda Saraswati and Kotapada MLA Rupu Bhatra, along with other distinguished personalities. The speakers emphasized the need to promote the study of Hindu scriptures, philosophy and history in order to strengthen pride and awareness among Hindus. Detailed discussions were also held on reviving Odisha’s traditional “Bhagbat Tungis.”
Among the eminent guests present were Prof. Harihar Kanungo, Vice-Chancellor of Thirumalai University; cultural expert Dr. Prafulla Rath; former Bhubaneswar MP Prof. Dr. Prasanna Patasani; Chief Adviser of HEM and National President of Rashtriya Patrakar Mahasangh, New Delhi, Dr. Pabitra Mohan Samantaray; Sanyasini Arundhati Mata; Baba Biswanatha Das; Mahanta Kabindra Maharaj; former AIIMS Director Prof. Dr. Ashok Mahapatra; and educationist Dr. Niranjan Sahu, among others. The dignitaries highlighted the importance of promoting Hindu religion, culture and traditions.
On this occasion, HEM Founder President Pradipta Kumar Jena spoke about the organisation’s objectives and future vision. Editor Dr. Prabhat Kumar Sahu presented the editorial report, while the Vice-President shared views on strengthening and expanding the organisation. A souvenir titled “Arya Darshan” was also released by the guests.
In the end, the organisers expressed gratitude to all members and volunteers, including Dr. Prabhat Kumar Sahu, Sushil Pal, Sushil Pradhan, Akshay Kumar Sahu, Braja Kishore Jena, Jayant Das, Rabindra Mohapatra, Babuli Dhar, Dr. Padmalochan Nayak, Surendra Mohanty, Sujit Mohanty, Pitabas Barik, Manoj Jena, Ramesh Chandra Das, Renubala Raut, Aditya Pratap Dhal, Niranjan Samal, Manas Singh, Manoj Panda, Bidyut Jena, Naren Jena, Suresh Choudhury, Trilochan Pradhan, Lambodar Behera, Bijay Behera, Pranakrishna Jena, Chintamani Mishra, Santosh Sahu, Ashok Nayak and Hrushikesh Nanda for their dedication in making the event a grand success.
The programme was regarded as an important step towards promoting Hindu religion, culture and traditional values.
