New Delhi, Oct 9(Ishan Times)- The National Union of Journalists (India) is saddened at the demise of veteran journalist SAMIR PAL in Delhi today. He had served the HINDUSTAN TIMES for several decades with distinction. A post-graduate in English, he was a teacher at school before opting for journalism. Samir Pal had tutored newcomers to the profession. His wife was a senior officer in the Indian Council for Cultural Relations. She has predeceased him. He has left behind a son ,his family & other relatives. His demise due to prolonged age related issues at 90 has saddened the journalists community in Delhi – NCR. He was a thorough professional and loved by his colleagues. The NUJ-I remembers him for being one of the founders of the organisation and a torch-bearer of ethical journalism. The NUJI-I national executive condoles his death.
